Camera test

In anticipation of our trip to Brazil, we bought a new camera, and Neil needed to practice with it before we took off, so what pictures did he shoot? Pictures of our beautiful Julia of course.

What? You're taking more pictures of me?
No way, I'm not ready.
Well, if you insist . . .

Julia at 11 Months - Our little Texan

Julia might have mainly Norwegian heritage on her Dad's side, and all Brazilian on her Mom's, but she was definitely born in Texas.

Happy Birthday Mommy!!

Julia decided to try to bake a cake for Raquel’s birthday. Here she is raiding the pantry for baking supplies. (One of her favorite places to play I might add).

Good start – she found the chocolate sprinkles.

Ohh – look Mom – I can put some juice in your cake. (Maybe that’s better than milk).

Back to Corpus Christi

We went back to Corpus with Neil late into June but this time we took the opportunity to spend the weekend so we could spend some time on the beach.

Neil worked Thursday and Friday, and then Saturday morning we made our first trip to the beach. Raquel had bought some plastic buckets on a whim at one of the discount stores, and they turned out to be a great hit with Julia on the beach.
We weren't there long when Julia made a friend from Italy. They played together and Julia even shared her buckets she enjoys so much.We had to leave before too long though, the sun was just too hot, plus Julia needed a nap, and she sleeps better in her carseat than she does on the beach, so we took off for an afternoon break from the sun. We came back to the beach that evening before the sun went down however, so she could enjoy it more.
We decided the next day we would need to come back early to enjoy the beach again before the sun got too hot. When we got there, there weren't many people around.Julia enjoyed walking on the beach with Daddy . . . Having her hand dunked in the waves . . .Through the whole thing, we had a great time at the beach.
Julia wants you to join us next time.

Peek-a-Boo

Trying to take father's day pictures was another fun experiment in taking infant pictures. Julia was in a very playful mode and was not interested in posing for the camera. I wish I had a camcorder.
Our Julia - Always happy and expressive!

Father's Day

Bath Time Fun

Rubber ducks and water are a perfect combination for fun. Would you like one?
OK. Let me first kiss it goodbye.
I can hardly contain my enthusiasm ... watch how fast I move!
Wow!!! 2 ducks!!! Double the fun and the speed!!!
