More Bathroom Progress

We've got floors baby!!!
We still need to do the steps and the toilet area, but this is huge progress for us.

Chasing the Rainbow

We both had Friday off from work, so for Valentine's we decided to go down to Galveston to have lunch and relax on the beach. It was a nice day to walk barefoot in the sand (not in the water though, its still cold) and sit and listen to the waves. Very peaceful. The day turned out to be enriching in other ways also . . .

It was such a beautiful day complete with rainbows, and for the first ever, we got to the end of the rainbow and found the pot of gold.
Here's a shot of Raquel along the seawall.

A Visit from Dave

Uncle Dave surprised us with a quick visit Wednesday night while he was in town for business. We took him to dinner at the original Carrabba's (our favorite Italian restaurant) and a tour of everything you can see at night in Houston. It was fun. We tried to convince him to bring Jeannette back with him next time and stay a while longer. Neil planned to get a picture for the blog but forgot.

Catching Up

We recently got to have lunch with our good friends Martin and Ellen Haskett. We had a great time catching up together, and lunch took quite a while, because we hadn't seen them since the summer, when we got together for Ellen and Neil's birthdays. Here we are out in front of the house after lunch.

Bathroom Progress

Well, since we've been back from vacation, Neil has slowly been making progress on our bathroom remodel project. Some of the final pieces are actually starting to go up. Here is a shot of the wall that he tiled with cut slate.

End of Vacation

Well, vacation had to end some time, but before we left Seattle, we took some time to visit with Grandma, Raquel's Aunt Georgette, and Neil's friend Chad. It was good to spend time and catchup with all of them.

Family Get Together

While it was unfortunate that everyone couldn't be together for Christmas because the weather, it turned out well that Grandma, Dave, and Jeannette were coming down when Rebecca, Ryan and the kids drove up from Cathlamet so we could all have some time together. We got to catch up with them and they got to see how much the kids have grown. A good time was had by all over a nice lunch.
