The Oregon Coast

We went to visit Neil's family for a week and a half at the end of August.  As soon as we got there, we went to the Oregon coast.

The kids enjoyed the beach at Seaside.

 After the beach, the kids got to enjoy lollipops.

 There are some nice overlooks along the road down the coast.

 

Julia's Birthday

Steve and Vicki had us over for dinner and birthday cake for Julia's birthday.

Julia approved of her presents.

 She also approved of the cake.

We also had a party at our house for our friends from the church.  Julia enjoyed herself with Hannah and Sydney

Travelling Texas

Neil has to travel to the different offices his company has around Texas, and the month of July was a month of travel for everyone.  We spent 3 days in Tyler with the Edwards, a couple of days in Corpus Christi on the beach, and a couple of days between Austin and San Antonio.

 While we were in Austin we went to the Barton Springs Pool to cool off in the evening.  (When I say "cool off" I mean it, the water is 68 degrees coming out of the ground.  The heat of Texas feels pretty good after a few minutes in the pool.)

Cecilia & Celso's Anniversary

Our friends Cecilia and Celso celebrated their anniversary in July and invited us over for Celso's famous barbeque to celebrate.  Julia enjoyed playing with Tici and we had a good time eating barbeque, cooling off in the pool, and eating the cake made to celebrate.

Sesame Street at Sea World

For Raquel's birthday, we went to Sea World in San Antonio for the day.  One change for this year is they've added an area for the Sesame Street characters around the water play area.  We happened on the characters as they were taking pictures with people.  Julia really liked that.  I think it really ended up being more of a Julia day than a day for Raquel, but we all had a lot of fun.

Emilia's Eating

Emilia started eating food a while back.  Normally she eats pretty good, but in June she had a spell of not wanting to eat.  This made meals kind of messy.
