Family Pictures

While Mom and Dad were here we took the opportunity to go and have some family pictures taken.

Christmas

Mom and Dad came for Christmas.  This was Julia's first Christmas where she really understood what was happening.

Julia got her share of clothing in addition to toys.  Grandpa got to serve as a clothes rack.
Julia loves to give hugs to her "bebes".
2 kisses at the same time after we finished opening presents and reading the Christmas story.
While Emilia couldn't really open any presents, she enjoyed having everyone around the tree together.

Girls

Some pictures of the girls . . .
Both of them are talkers.  Julia didn't talk as much as Emilia at her age, but now Julia is full of words all the time.
People often ask how Julia does with Emilia.  As you can see, she does pretty well.
 Some cute smiles . . .

Emilia at 3 Months

Emilia loves to smile and to talk - yes talk.
She can look you in the eyes and make the cutest baby sounds.
She will even take a break so you can respond and than she starts taking again.

Thanksgiving Camping

The weather was supposed to be good for most of the Thanksgiving weekend so we went on a camping trip to get out of town for a few days and relax.

Raquel made turkey hats for both girls.  Julia made good use of hers to keep her little head warm.
Here's Julia modeling the hat and the lady bug boots that Rebecca gave her.  They came just in time and were perfect.  Julia loved them.  Thanks Aunt Becky!!!

Rebecca and Bowen Visit

In November Rebecca came to visit with their youngest, Bowen.  She blogged about it in a more timely fashion here - http://rrrealfrank.blogspot.com/2011/11/weekend-in-houston.html.

The weekend she came the International Quilt Festival was in town.  While it doesn't sound like much, people come from all over the world to the festival, and it fills the convention center.  The quilts are pretty impressive.

I thought this one was kind of fun.
After walking around looking at all of the quilts, we needed a break.

In addition to visiting the quilt festival.  We also had a lot of fun just hanging out around the house.

Emilia at 2 Months

OK, so we haven't been publishing anything lately.  We need to get caught up.  We'll start with an update of Emilia at 2 months old, which would have been the beginning of November.

More and more beautiful every day ... God is Good
