Business on the Road

Neil had to go to Austin earlier this week, and Raquel and Julia got to come with. While we were there, we stopped to see our good friend Steve Dobbelstein, his brother Mike, and Mike's wife.

Walking

We haven't gotten out walking much lately, but the other day we did. Julia was pretty excited about it. Doesn't she look like a "Mario Brothers" character?

Obstacles

Julia can move herself around pretty good, but only rolling sideways and sliding backwards on her belly. This means that she tends to run into a lot of obstacles, but getting stuck doesn't seem to be problem for her.

Under her swing.
Under the cabinets.
Under the couch.
Under the chair.
Under the bed.

Oh No!!!! Gobber Peas!!!!

"Peas, peas, peas, peas eating goober peas.
Goodness how delicious! Eating goober peas."

Well... sweet peas were not a hit. Julia didn't know what to do with this stuff in her mouth. Raquel and I could not stop laughing at the disgusted faces we saw. There must be goobers mixed with the peas!

Toothy Girl

Julia's first teeth started coming out on Dec 30th and we finally got a good picture of them. Check those huge eyes and happy smile too...

Expressing Displeasure

Julia is learning to express her displeasure with things. In this clip she wants the CDs stacked on the counter that Mom isn't letting her get to.

Julia at 6 Months

At 6 months, Julia is rolling, spinning and sliding herself backwards around the floor. She took quickly to solid foods, developing quite a taste for sweet potatoes and bananas. Here though she is just resting after a long day of eating and playing with Mom (all that growing and exploring can make a little baby tired).
